joe strummer Biography?

Q) Does anyone know if you can get the Biography Channel episode with joe strummer.

A) It would appear this is a coming soon attraction. The Biography channel website will let you know when it is on. Do you know anyone who gets the biography channel (it is on the cable family pack of NTL/Telewest) who would then video it for you? I hope this helps. Just found this (http://hardcorewww.punknews.org/article/11783) The Biography Channel in the UK will air a Joe Strummer biography on March 3rd. The best biography of Queen Elizabeth I?

Q) Could some one recommend a good biography of Queen Elizabeth I that spans her entire life?

A) Elizabeth by David Starkey. It came out in around 2003 I believe, but its a very in depth book and Starkey is one of the leaders in knowledge of the tudor monarchy.

Q) Daisy medow writes fairy bocks for kids aged 5-7. they are the rainbow books. I am looking for the athor daisy medows biography.

A) Actually, it's Daisy Meadows (check spelling). Amazon.com does not show any biographies under this name. The name is a pen name -- not the author's real name. There is not one single author, either -- the fairy books are written by a group of children's authors who are anonymous; the publisher chooses the author and will not permit them to be interviewed. A) Research on the net - do a web search or visit your local library. I suspect even if someone were to do the research for you it would be far to voluminous to post a complete biography here.

Should I write the Devil's biography?

Q) As I'm a keen learner of religious information, and having read the bible in its various forms and chapters, I think it would be an interesting project to research the devil more and write, for want of a better word, a tongue in cheek biography of him and explain the heirarchy of his legions and workings? Would this be viewed as satanic, or as an information source with which to know your enemy? I think it would be an interesting journey discovering the information and bringing to light some of the more hidden truths about old Harry. What are everyones thoughts? Edit: yes Milton beat me to it, as did Dante, but have you tried READING their works? Took me ages. Tut tut tut you self obsessed christians! The devil appears in more text than just the christian bible! What makes you think I'm limiting my studies just to the bible! I think it's important to note that both Milton and Dante's work was based on the Bible writings, and did not include methodology from other religions.

I've started to write a bit of a biography, I'm 14. Would you like to read it? It's pretty funny?

Q) It's not really a biography of such, more like a cross between a diary and a statement. It's called "Life as a Fourteen Year Old Girl in a Grammar School" and it's basically a statement saying that I'm not a boffin or a slag. I just wondered if anyone would please read it for me? It's just under 6 pages long, and it makes perfect sense to me, but probably not to anyone else. It's funny because how the hell can you write a biography at 14 years old!?! How do I find the author of the Mandela biography I found in Yahoo Search, for permission to use some of it?

Q) My publishers, Longman of Pearson Education UK, will want to ask permission of the author if, as I may, use an adaptation of the Mandela biography article as a passage in the new edition of my textbook New Practical English, used in Nigeria.

A) You would write to the author, you would write to the publisher. Did you note the bibiliographal information about the work you want to adapt from? If so, you would send a request to that company's Permissions Department with the publication details of your planned work, a copy of the adaptation as you want to use it, and the source information from their work. A) I don't want to be presumptuous, but your Yahoo name suggests you may be bi-racial. If yes, you may want to do a biography on one of the many Americans who are bi-racial. Since this isn't an identity choice that was in vogue many years ago, you won't find too many famous dead Americans who are identified that way, however, some current famous Americans are self-identified as bi-racial. Tiger Woods, Barack Obama, Hale Berry, Derek Jeter are just a few names that come to mind. If you look further back in history, you will find some famous Americans who were bi-racial, although maybe not identified by that label.

Biography of Gandhiji??

Q) Can someone recommend me an authentic and objectively factual biography of the original Gandhi, M.K? Most of the available-in-the-market biographies of that gentleman are written by his disciples or by people who were close to him. Their vision is blurred with meaningless and sometimes irritating reverence, leaving very little space for objectivity. I’m not his blind devotee, but a great admirer nonetheless. I’ll feel grateful if anyone suggests me a good biography.

Whose biography would you read to your kid first?

Q) I have a 3-year-old daughter and I'm reading Lincoln's biography little by little every night in bed. She seems enjoying listening to the story. I chose this one, because Lincoln's was the first biography I read when I was a kid. Whose biography would you or did you read to your kid first? Why?

A) I tell my kids of my own experiences, they are amazed and can relate because it is more than a story. I do this so they are more appreciative of what they have. My children are 11, 8, and 16 months. I also asked my mother to right down a record of her life for them.

Biography Format?

Q) I need to write a 20 page biography for high school. I have all my information, but i need to know what the proper format is for a biography.

A) Just like most documents, the basic format is introduction, body, conclusion. Introduce why the reader will be interested in learning about the subject. Go chronologically through the person's life, focusing on causes and effects of events. It is helpful to identify stages, where the person's life changes significantly. Draw conclusion why you believe the person's life is of interest.
